What is the place to which the best national poker players vigorously flock? It is Reno, and on the following dates: 20 through 29 of Feb. a major match of wits will be conveyed in the Peppermill Reno Hotel. The prize of a pot will be $250,000!

A field of 1,200 players is expected to take part in the eight days of heated poker action that will include Texas Hold’em and Omaha Hi-Low Split. Each day will feature an early morning satellite event, then a different tournament game followed by an evening second chance tournament each with a $120 buy-in and no re-buys.

Satellite tournaments are held daily starting at 8 a.m., daily tournament action gets underway at noon and the second chance games start at 7 p.m.

The action begins with a warm up Satellite Day game with a $60 buy-in followed by the first of the second chanced games each evening.

• Feb. 27 – No limit hold’em $120 buy-in, unlimited re-buys for first four rounds add-on at the end of the 4th round. First place guaranteed $10,000
• Feb. 28 – Championship Event, no limit hold’em $225 buy-in, $200 re-buy
